Gorakhnath Temple
Gorakhnath temple is 4 Kms. from Gorakhpur Railway Station on Nepal Road dedicated to great yogi Gorakhnath. It is one of the most prominent and magnificent temples of this area. A month-long ‘Makar Sankranti Mela’ is held every year commencing on 14th of january. Lakhs of pilgrims and tourists visit the temple especially during the Sanktanti Mela at Gorakhnath Temple. Light and Sound programme is worth watching at Gorakhnath in the evening.
Vishnu Temple
It is located on the Medical College road at Asuran chowk. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, this temple has origins that date back to the Pal Dynasty of the 12th century! The four corners of the temple are dedicated to the deities Jaganathpuri, Badrinath, Rameshwaram and Dwarika.
The famous temple associated with a large statue of Lord Vishnu, made of Kasauti (Black) stone, belongs to the Pal dynasty of 12th Century A.D. Ram leela is organised here on the Dusshera festival. The procession is so grand that it fetches the tourist to visit in the season.
Geeta Vatika
Geeta Vatika is situated on Pipraich road, 3 km. from Railway station., is probably the only place where non-stop 24 hours prayers are offered for goddess ‘RADHA’ the divine love of Lord Krishna. Grand temple of lord Radha – Krishna is the centre of attraction.

Gita Vatika
Geeta Vatika is situated on Gorakhpur-Pipraich Road near the Asuran Chowk in Gorakhpur. Devotees participate in continuous prayers for Radha, who was the divine love of Lord Krishna. The main attraction of this place is the temple of Radha and Krishna. Gita Vatika was built by Shri Hanuman Prasad Poddar, the founder editor of the religious magazine “Kalyan” . 24 hour Hare Rama Hare Krishna Chanting in the campus started in 1968 here and still continues day and night without any disruption even today.
Imambara
Built by Hajrat saint Roshan Ali Shah in 1717 AD. It is famous for gold and silver Tajia. A DHUNI (smoke fire) is maintained continuously after sufi Saint death.
Ramgarh Taal
Ramgarh Tal is a beautiful natural lake spread in 1700 acres. The Ramgarh lake is one of the city’s main tourist attractions these days. People with family enjoy the greenish blue water of the lake with colourful fountains and boat riding. Ramgarh Tal is a rich source of fish and its water is also used for irrigation, supporting livelihood of many.
Archeological Museum
Archeological Museum, also know as Baudh Sangrahalay is situated near Rail Vihar Phase -3. It has a good collection of Indian history , ancient sculptures and paintings.
Planetarium
Veer Bahadur Singh Planetarium is situated near GDA, Gorakhpur and is also known as Taramandal. A Good place to interact with our universe & feel the beauty of universe. A show of 45 minutes is shown which describes about the sky and the history of our Solar System. How the Sun, Mars, Earth, Jupiter and other planet created. Rail Museum
It is situated near Railway Stadium colony, Gorakhpur on the way to Mohaddipur. The museum is open on all days except Monday. It has mini toy train for kids, small galleries showcasing history and adnvancement in Railway sytems. It also have ancient cranes, a stema engine (1874) , road rollers etc. There is a small park having see-saw, and other small rides for children.

Neer Nikunj (Water Park)
It is situated near Champa Devi Park on the way to circuit house. anyone can spend a day full pf adventure and fun. There are wide variety of water and dry rides. The food court is available in the Water park.
Govt. Vidhyavasini Park
The grand green park is situated inside the town, a paradise for morning walkers and consists of varieties of plants, trees and fruits. It also develops mother buds of roses for several colours.
Indira Bal Vihar
It is in the heart of City, Golghar, providing a good amusement to the children.
Kusumhi Vinod Van
It is situated on National highway-28 , 9 km. from Railway Station. It is a picnic spot and is a place for attraction of kids, as here is a small zoo having few animals.
Premchand Park
Situated in Alahdadpur where noted writer ‘PremChand’ lived. The park has three fountains with electric lights focussing every part of the garden giving a pleasant look. It attracts kids with a lot of playing Jhulas. Landscape and beautiful greenery make it alluring.
Nehru Entertainment Park
Spread with in the city at Laldiggi, children Library, Acquarium and photographs of Nehru’s Life are the main attractions. It is this area where Pt. Nehru was arrested in 1937.
Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Park
Situated opposite university of Gorakhpur, It is a beautiful park with green lustre and an ideal for morning walkers.
