DDMA before its inception in the form of district administration of Gorakhpur had given the best efforts while carrying out the project of GoI-UNDP on Disaster Risk Management Programme (DRM) from 2005 till 2009, whose outcome was effectively achieved in the form of establishment of EOC in Gorakhpur & enhanced capacity building of the affected community through various training campaign. Further, UNDP started its project in Gorakhpur on Urban Risk Reduction (URR) for the session of 2010-2012 & on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) for the session of 2011-2012 and the outcome of the above two projects were greatly achieved too.Un
